Bicester Village fire: Several stores still shut hours after blaze
Shopping outlet Bicester Village was evacuated and stores shut today after a fire broke out earlier this morning.
Seven fire crew were sent into the Oxfordshire designer discount centre, which is popular with tourists, locals and the Middleton sisters.
The blaze started at Carluccio's restaurant at 8:30 this morning, but was put out by 35 firefighters, the Banbury Guardian reports.
The fire spread quickly, leading to a wide-spread evacuation. Reports suggest no one has been injured.
At the time of writing, several stores were still shut, including Vivienne Westwood, Kurt Geiger, Prada, Folli Follie, Dior, Fred Perry and Ralph Lauren Home. The Bicester Visitor Centre is also shut.
The cause of the fire has not yet been made public.
Twitter users posted pictures of the blaze this morning, and the aftermath, revealing the extent of the damage to the roof of the restaurant.
